Core Values

Discover our core values that shape our church community.

Church is about God's Presence

God's presence in our corporate gathering times is our highest value. Our cry is the same as Moses.

Exodus 33:15 "If your Presence will not go with me, do not bring us up from here".

If God's Presence is not in our gatherings we are wasting our time, it's because of God that we have come together to worship.

Church is Family

We believe that church is God’s Family, its not an institution or an organisation and therefore church should function as a family where everyone feels loved, connected and valued in fulfilling their God given role within the family.

2 Corinthians 6:18 "I will be a Father to you, and you shall be My sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty."

Church Gathers to Worship

Church Gathers to Worship

Psalm 29:2 "Give unto the LORD the glory due to His name; Worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness".

We love to worship God, and God releases great power through our worship of Him. And so we place a high value on our corporate worship times.

Jesus said in John 4:24 "God is spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth."

We also believe that worship is a lifestyle and we are to give glory to God in everything we do and say.

Church is on a Mission

We believe in the Church’s global commission to “make disciples of all nations.” Matthew 28:16–20

We actively support those involved in mission activity at the local, national and international level and we seek creative ways to share the gospel to reach our community with loving and practical actions, accepting others just as God has accepted us.

In Church everyone is called to Minister

Every believer has a mandate to minister to the Body of Christ or to those who haven’t come into the freedom of Christ.

1Corinthians 12:7 "To each is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good"

Matthew 10:7-8 And as you go, preach, saying, "The kingdom of heaven is at hand". Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out demons. Freely you have received, freely give.

In Church everyone Serves

We believe that every member of the Church is called to serve.

Matthew 20:28 "even as the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many".

The Bible describes the Church as being like a body. Just as a body has many different parts, the Church has many different types of people who have different talents and gifts. Just like a body, the Church works best  when all the parts function together.

Church Prays

Prayer is a vital part of our lives and we depend on the Lord to guide us in all that we do. We have weekly prayer and intercessors meetings and a prayer support team operating for specific needs. We also have times of prayer and fasting throughout the year.

Isaiah 56:7"for my house shall be called a house of prayer for all peoples."

Church is about Relationship

We believe the Church is called to have healthy functional relationships. Jesus paid the price to forgive our sins and therefore we extend love, acceptance and forgiveness to others. Loving relationships should  permeate every aspect of Church life.

John 13:35 "By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another."

Leadership in the Church

The New Testament pattern for the Church is team ministry with God appointed leadership. This provides accountability as well as the combination of the gifts and wisdom of others.

Ephesians 4:11-12 And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the Body of Christ.

Pastoral Care and Teaching

We believe that small groups facilitate life-change and this includes the concepts of discipleship, vulnerability and accountability. Life Groups are the circulation system of the Church. Also the Bible is God’s Word and therefore preaching and teaching must be a central part of the life or our Church.
